Pastor Jonathan M. White & Lady Ashley J. White
Jonathan White was born in Owensboro on March 3, 1982, to Frank and Gloria White. He is the youngest of eight siblings. At an early age, he attended Greater Ebenezer Temple Church under the leadership of Pastor Katie Lopez and Suffragan Bishop James E. More. In 1989, Elder White was baptized in Jesus’ Name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost in 1990.
Throughout his years of service at Greater Ebenezer Temple Church, Elder White faithfully served in numerous ministries and auxiliaries including the Youth Department, Sunday School, Usher Board, ministerial staff, junior deacon, deacon, choir, praise team, church administration, Pastor’s Aide Committee, church board, janitorial ministry, sound ministry, and as a drummer. At the age of 15, Elder White answered the call to ministry.
Lady Ashley J. White was born in New Albany on November 13, 1984, to Ronald and Annette Tolbert. She is the oldest of three siblings. She attended Greater Mount Zion Apostolic Church under the leadership of Pastor Anna M. Brackens and Suffragan Bishop Melvin A. Boyd. Having been baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost at a young age, Lady White developed a heart for serving both the church and her community.
Elder White graduated from Owensboro Community College with an Associate Degree in Science. In 2004, he relocated to Louisville to attend University of Louisville, where he studied psychology. During his time in Louisville, he attended both Greater Bethel Temple and Greater Mount Zion Apostolic Church, later joining Greater Mount Zion where he faithfully served under Suffragan Bishop Melvin A. Boyd for seven years.
In 2006, Elder White earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Social Sciences from the University of Louisville. He later obtained his Master’s Degree in Counseling from Webster University in 2013. In 2014, he became a fully Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the State of Kentucky.
While attending the University of Louisville, Elder White met the love of his life, Ashley Jean Tolbert. Their relationship blossomed through faith, friendship, and purpose. On November 13, 2006, Elder White proposed, and on December 8, 2007, they were united in marriage.
Together, Elder and Lady White are the proud parents of three beautiful daughters: Addisyn Jean White, Adele Rose White, and Jordan Annette White. Their family stands as a testimony of faith, love, education, and dedication to God’s purpose.
Lady White has also excelled academically and professionally. While pregnant with their oldest daughter, she graduated from Indiana University Southeast with dual degrees in Business Administration and Marketing. In 2015, while expecting their middle daughter, she earned her Master of Business Administration degree.
Beyond ministry, Elder and Lady White have committed themselves to community service and outreach. Lady White worked with the City of Owensboro during the construction and grand opening of the convention center and later served as an employment specialist with Malone Solutions, helping provide employment opportunities within the community.
Elder White has been recognized twice as “Youth of the Year” through the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and has dedicated his career to helping others through counseling, mentorship, and advocacy. His professional experience includes serving as a foster youth advocate, chemical dependency technician, impact case manager, and service coordinator. He is also a certified Prime for Life DUI instructor and has provided therapeutic services for the Pitino Shelter and the Boys & Girls Club in Owensboro, Kentucky.
In March 2019, Elder White was asked to serve as Interim Pastor of New Jerusalem Temple in Springfield. In the fall of 2020, he was officially elected Pastor of New Jerusalem Temple, where he continues to lead with passion, humility, and vision.
Pastor White often declares:
“Everything that I am, I owe it all to the Lord Jesus Christ. For with Him, all things are possible.”
Today, Elder and Lady White continue to live lives devoted to service, ministry, family, and the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
